
Founder and Head Coach - Tatsiana Kastenkava
Tatsiana Kastenkava is the founder and head coach of Trillium Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy. Tatsiana was introduced to the sport in Minsk, Belarus, when she was 4 years old and has developed a passion for the beauty, grace and elegance of rhythmic gymnastics. Tatsiana has devoted the last 30 years of her life to the development of this sport while inspiring many young rhythmic gymnasts to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential. Tatsiana was a member of the Belarus National rhythmic gymnastics group from 1986 to 1993 and competed at the 1992 World Championships and 1993 European Championships. After her retirement from the sport, Tatsiana earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Physical Education and Sport in Belarus. She is also a Canadian Level 3 fully certified national coach (NCCP).

Tatsiana’s professional career as a seasoned rhythmic gymnastics coach, as well as a Canadian and International level judge spans well over 25 years. Tatsiana was a National Coach for the Belarus National RG Team for 8 years and has continued her coaching career in Canada since 2001. Her greatest career accomplishments include coaching and leading the following Canadian Rhythmic Gymnastics Groups:

As a head coach at Trillium, Tatsiana takes great pride in developing national athletes who consistently attain the coveted High Performance status (top 15 in Canada) at both junior and senior levels and regularly become part of Canada’s national team. Tatsiana travelled extensively all over the world with Canada’s top individual RG athletes and RG groups who have competed at World Cups, Pan American Games and various international tournaments. Tatsiana is repeatedly invited to judge at Canadian national, provincial, and international tournaments since she holds a Level 3 Brevet Judge for RG groups and Level 2 Brevet Judge for RG individuals. Tatsiana loves to share her experience of observing the world’s top rhythmic gymnasts and inspire Trillium’s young athletes.

Julia Shlykova
Julia Shlykova has a long extraordinary history with rhythmic gymnastics. Julia first joined gymnastics at a young age and with constant efforts became a high-level performer winning various national and international tournaments in the sport. During her career, Julia received one of the highest ranks in the sport: ‘Master of Sports of Rhythmic Gymnastics’!
After the retirement of her astonishing years as a rhythmic gymnast, Julia graduated from the National University of Physical Culture and Sport in Kiev, Ukraine. In 2015, Julia acquired her Fully Certified Coach N.C.C.P. certificate in Canada.
Since 1998, Julia has been developing champions and medalists
in both provincial and national levels as individuals and teams.
Fun Fact! Julia speaks 6 languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English, French, Turkish, and Azerbaijani!

Olga Savchenko

Olga first started gymnastics when she was 6 years old in Novorossiysk, Russia. During her career as a rhythmic gymnast, Olga achieved the ranking of ‘Candidate Master of Sport’ in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
Olga has been training gymnasts of various levels since the age of 17.
She graduated from the
Kubanskiy State University of Physical Education and Sport in Krasnodar, Russia. After immigrating to Canada Olga received her Fully Certified Coach NCCP (level 3) certification in 2007.
She has successfully raised numerous athletes that became champions and medalists in Ontario.
As she continues to coach gymnasts, Olga is a remarkable teacher, mentor, and friend, to the athletes and their parents!
Fun fact: Olga loves fishing as well as driving boats at high speeds!
Alina Trushkina
Alina brings a wealth of experience, passion, and artistry to the world of Rhythmic Gymnastics.
Born and raised in Belarus, Alina was introduced early to the beauty, elegance, and mastery of rhythmic gymnastics. She trained under some of the most skilled and experienced coaches from the Belarus National Team, developing both her technique and her love for the sport.
Alina was a proud member of the Belarus National Team (2012–2017). Throughout her career, she earned numerous achievements, including:

After moving to Canada, Alina continued her journey as a gymnast, joining the Canadian National Team in both individual and group disciplines. In 2021, she transitioned into coaching, earning her NCCP certification and beginning to share her knowledge and passion with the next generation.

Marta Kovalevych

Marta was born and raised in Ukraine, where she began her journey in rhythmic gymnastics at the age of five under the renowned Deriugina School in Kyiv. In 2013, she moved to Canada and continued to excel in the sport, earning many achievements:
• Junior High Performance Athlete (2020)
• Eight-time Canadian Champion in group competition
• Group bronze medalist at the Pan American Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships (2019)
• 15th all-around at the First Junior World Championships (2019)
• Member of the Canadian National Group Team (2021–2022)
• Senior Open silver medallist (2024)
After concluding her athletic career in 2024, Marta transitioned into coaching—a lifelong dream she has held since her very first days in the gym. Her goal as a coach is to inspire young gymnasts by fostering an environment where fun and discipline coexist, creating strong bonds built on trust, motivation, and teamwork.
Amy Kretchina

Amy began gymnastics at the age of four and has been dedicated to the sport for over 16 years. In 2022, she became the Provincial Champion in Level 6A, and later moved on to the National Senior level, placing 3rd overall at Elite Ontario and 7th overall at the 2024 Canadian Championships. Known for her expressiveness and artistry in competition, Amy loves bringing that same energy and creativity into the gym as a coach. Amy has been coaching recreational and pre-competitive levels since 2022, introducing young gymnasts to the beauty and joy of rhythmic gymnastics.
Tatyana Shmagun

Tatyana Shmagun. Professional dancer - 25 years of experience. Ballet artist, choreographer. Teacher, tutor. Education: Kyiv State Ballet School. Kherson State Pedagogical University. (Bachelor's degree.) Worked as a ballet dancer at the Kyiv Municipal Opera and Ballet Theater. Ballet artist in P.Virsky Ukrainian National Folk Dance Ensemble. Ukrainian Arts Center in Moscow (Russia). Germany, Munich Circus "Krone. Turkey - dancer and choreographer (2 years). China, Shenzhen - artist, choreographer. Founder and choreographer of the show ballet "Funny Guys" with whom she worked in many countries of the world. Since 2013 she has been living in Canada, Toronto. Work in many clubs of Rhythmic Gymnastics. Coach (level 2), choreographer, ballet instructor. Olympium RGC- 4 years. Glimmer Athletic Club-6 years. At the moment she is a choreographer and ballet instructor in many clubs in Toronto. National Team of Canada. Ritmika, Kalev, Aspirals and Trillium.
Isabella Rudiy
Isabella Rudiy recently retired from professional gymnastics after 17 years of training and performing on Provincial and National levels. Isabella has competed internationally many times. She got 3rd place at Elite Ontario for hoop and won many medals at Provincial Championships. Isabella’s coaching career started at the age of 16 and she acquired her NCCP Level 2 in 2021. She loves working with prospective young gymnasts and girls reciprocate with their love and enthusiasm. Isabella studies Kinesiology and Athletic Therapy at York University. Fun fact: Isabella loves traveling, and has been to 20 countries.
